As the gaming industry grows and betting becomes more popular, more and more sportsbooks will pop-up throughout cyber-space.

Even though these cyber-bookies won’t be able to offer you a complimentary beverage while watching the game, you can still get your bets in and watch the game from the comfort of your own home. On the bright side, you also won’t have to go to that guy at the end of the bar in a trench coat to place bets anymore.
So gone are the days of the single-handed bookie. That species is almost extinct in favor of the more organized sportsbook that now dominates the industry. The sports gaming industry has worked to legitimize gaming with faster more reliable payouts that the bookie in the traditional sense has all but faded away.
