Playoff NFL Power Rankings

#1 New England Patriots (14-2)

The Patriots are without a doubt the best team in the NFL heading into the playoffs, but whether or not they can maintain their dominance in the postseason remains to be seen.

With MVP frontrunner Tom Brady under center though, the Patriots will be favored in NFL picks from here on out.

#2 Atlanta Falcons (13-3)

The Falcons may have been beaten by the division rival Saints a few weeks back, but they still seem to be firing on all cylinders and as long as they can hold off the Eagles and the defending champs in the playoffs, I believe they are Super Bowl bound.

#3 Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4)

The Steelers may have the best defense in the NFL right now, but they are flawed in my opinion and won’t be able to keep up with dominant passing teams like the Patriots or the Colts in the playoffs.

The bye week will definitely help Mike Tomlin’s squad, but ultimately they aren’t going to be able to go the distance.

#4 Baltimore Ravens (12-4)

The Ravens are a solid football team on both sides of the football this season and have a chance to be a dark horse in the AFC Conference playoffs, but I can’t see them contending with the Patriots like they did last season.

#5 New Orleans Saints (11-5)

The defending champs have had a lot of doubters over the course of this season, but despite not being given much credit, I believe they could slip through the cracks and have a good chance of making it back to the Super Bowl if they can fend off the Eagles and Falcons.

#6-10 Chicago Bears (11-5), Philadelphia Eagles (10-6), New York Jets (11-5), Green Bay Packers (10-6) and Indianapolis Colts (10-6)
