New York Giants vs New Orleans Saints NFL Point Spread Picks

What should be a great weekend of football culminates on Monday night with a nice game between the Giants and Saints. The Giants come into this game looking a little bit like a mess. They were strong heading into last week, then dropped a primetime game at home to the Eagles. In that one, the Giants couldn’t move the ball and they couldn’t get a big stop when they needed one. Now, they have the unenviable task of going down to New Orleans to face a Saints team that has been sort of plodding along. The Saints have struggled at times this year, but will they struggle in this one?

The Saints are tough at home, with Brees, Graham, and company piling up big numbers in the Superdome. This is a long trip for the Giants and they haven’t been great when playing in domes. They are, howeber, a good road team over the last few years. Likewise, you have to add in the fact that they are getting a full touchdown in this game. That is a lot of points for a team that is as good as the Giants. Whether or not they can stop the New Orleans offense is the big question that must be answered in this one, though. If they can’t slow down Brees, then you don’t want your NFL picks on them. 

 

This is a game that New Orleans should control. The Saints are good and they will beat the Giants. The seven point spread is the big issue. This is the type of number that should be scary for Saints backers, as there is always the chance that a late score could spoil the win. Consider this as you make your NFL picks this week. The Giants could very easily get blown out, but they have a chance to keep it close, too. This is likely a Saints or no play type of situation for smart bettors this week.
