New England Patriots vs New York Jets  NFL Football Picks 

The Patriots struggled in a big way last week. They couldn’t get up for the Giants and they couldn’t consistently move the ball. They had multiple chances to run away with it, but Tom Brady played one of his worst games ever. Now, the team has to run around and play a tough game at a divisional opponent that looked great last week. That is a tough task. The Jets have been playing much better over the last few weeks. They beat the brakes off of Buffalo one week ago and that is something that they are very proud of. Now, they play their biggest game. Rex Ryan has shown the ability to get his team up for the Pats, so will it continue here?

 

The Pats came into this one as short favorites and the public backed them in a big way. Now, the line has moved and the Jets are the favorite. When a line move of this nature happens, we have to analyze why it happened. The best reason, though it might not be accurate, is that the sharps moved the line with some big bets. This would be a bad sign for people who want to back the Patriots on the road in this spot. If the sharps are hitting the Jets, then we want to make our NFL picks on the Jets, as well. 

 

Another thing to keep in mind about this game is matchups. The Patriots have been bad against the pass. The Jets last week turned it on with Holmes and Burress both playing well. You could potentially see a nice game out of Sanchez here. Likewise, this has been a series where the home team has consistently won. In fact, every Pats-Jets game since Rex Ryan took over has been won by the home team. These factors tell us that playing the Jets is the right move here. Take them and laugh to the bank.
